俄羅斯東正教在各方面都深受拜占庭文化的影響，其聖樂自然也不例外。它繼承了拜占庭教會的傳統，運用「拜占庭八調式」，發展出不同於羅馬教會聖歌的面貌。獨特的和聲加上緩慢的節奏，讓人聯想到有著金色洋蔥屋頂的俄羅斯教堂，在晨曦之照耀下，散發著聖潔的光芒。
北美的俄羅斯東正教聖歌合唱團體 PaTram 學院合唱團，繼葛萊美獎提名的《金口聖若望感恩禮》等專輯後，再度與RR合作推出這張聖歌鉅作，並以本專輯紀念與合唱團淵源頗深的 Valery Lukianov 神父。專輯中收錄巴洛克時期作曲家蒂托夫、十八世紀聖歌作曲家博爾特尼揚斯基、近代音樂巨擘的拉赫曼尼諾夫等人的作品，宛如一部俄國宗教音樂簡史。本專輯於 Lukianov 神父一手創建的教堂中錄製，恢宏的鐘聲加上聖潔的合唱，帶來充滿靈性的音樂體驗！
