　　1970年代以降的前衛搖滾以恢弘氣勢的編曲與高超的樂器彈奏以及錄音工程科技助力下，出現了許多讓人耳界大開的專輯。其中以錄音工程師Alan Parsons、樂手兼唱片經紀人Eric Woolfson為主體的The Alan Parson Project（簡稱APP）樂團堪稱獲得商業成功的典範之一。經多年的錄音技巧磨練與嘗試古典、爵士樂等各種音樂類型的融合手法，使得APP 1974年一出道便得到樂評樂迷的一致好評，他們貫徹概念專輯意志所發表的專輯，張張皆是經典之作。

這張1982年發行的專輯是亞倫派森實驗樂團獲得最佳排行名次的專輯，單曲Eye In The Sky曾一舉打入告示牌流行單曲榜的第3名，專輯榜第7名的佳績。這張專輯的第一首曲子Sirius是一首膾炙人口的演奏名曲，其旋律動人氣勢高昂，是許多美國職業運動賽事配樂的首選，例如美國NBA芝加哥公牛隊在90年代喬丹王朝時的主場主題曲，不時聽到Sirius來勢洶洶的電子合成樂的旋律，堪稱AAP的不朽名曲之一。

　　所謂Eye In The Sky據Eric Woolfson回憶，有一回他被在賭城拉斯維加斯的純品康納飯店當行銷經理朋友受邀去見識飯店新裝設的監視系統，這套嚴密監控飯店人員出入的新科技就叫做Eye In The Sky，然後他又在電視新聞看到關於美軍的間諜衛星系統也叫做Eye In The Sky，這讓他對新專輯有了初步的構想，於是與Alan Parson進行創作之後，Eye In The Sky於焉誕生。

　　專輯一開場即讓人屏息以待，氣勢恢弘的Sirius在電子合成樂與吉他獨奏之後完美地接上Eye In The Sky的旋律，這首中板抒情歌曲由Eric Woolfson獨挑大樑主唱，他的聲音質地優雅略有憂鬱的唱腔，讓這首歌聽來有股失落滄桑的感覺，再三品味不禁讓人低迴不已，80年代Ballard常使人甜膩的缺點，Eye In The Sky巧妙避開，更顯難得。專輯另一首歌曲Silence And I以鋼琴與鍵盤樂器為主導的旋律，加入氣勢浩大的管弦樂團的演奏，讓人見識AAP駕馭古典樂元素的功力不輸Pink Flord，其大器的史詩規格應是本輯除Eye In The Sky之外的另一亮點。
