金曲製造機Desmond Child，2008年進入「創作名人殿堂」、2013年協助成立「拉丁創作名人殿堂」。於硬式搖滾的80黃金年代走紅，替華麗搖滾樂團Kiss連續寫下多首暢銷歌曲，還讓Cher轉型成功，大唱抒情搖滾之歌，也是Bon Jovi和Aerosmith等天團御用寫歌夥伴！就在搖滾風潮退燒之際，Desmond轉替電動馬達Ricky Martin撰寫〈Livin' La Vida Loca〉和〈The Cup Of Life〉兩首紅歌，引領最狂野的拉丁熱潮。不僅如此，開始發展多元觸角的延伸至節奏藍調、流行偶像、電子舞曲甚至鄉村樂領域！
Desmond Child & Rouge是Desmond受到R&B風格影響，雇用Myriam Valle, Maria Vidal和Diana Grasselli三位女孩合組團隊，特別挖出1979年連發的兩張評價頗高專輯《Desmond Child & Rouge》和《Runners in the Night》，可惜樂團於1980年宣告解散。
