Approaching a monument such as Bach's Work is always a challenge, especially for young musicians, but this immensely rich body of work and the sumptuous and dense writing of Johann Sebastian Bach offers every musician an inexhaustible source of material. to perform transcriptions. Our choice fell on these pieces because our instruments made it possible to make all the contours without going too far from the original text, whose beauty aroused our interest.
Numerous transcriptions for four recorders have been made in recent decades - the predominantly 3 or 4 voice writing in keyboard or orchestral music of this period - but very few have been done for five flutes. Our atypical and original training allowed us to draw on works that have been almost never heard in such a configuration."
