來自澳洲的創作歌手愛蜜莉．貝克在一次英國的旅行中，認識了一位志同道合的吉他手，於是他們組成了「The Low Country」樂團，從此開啟了愛蜜莉的音樂之路，發行二張專輯，大獲好評之後，愛蜜莉又重組「愛蜜莉．貝克與紅粘土光環」樂團。專輯《親愛的河流》是他們所推出的第四張專輯，這張專輯迅速的將艾蜜莉的樂壇生涯推向一個新高峰。《親愛的河流》傳達的是一個迷人的情感探索～關於自我、土地、人們，艾蜜莉將歌曲融入她自己生命的故事，包含她個人的研究、旅遊及移民的經驗，每一首歌都道盡人生的悲歡離合，一張美麗、敏感、具挑釁性，有時又令人驚訝的專輯。艾蜜莉興奮的說：「這張專輯讓我非常快樂，整個概念對我來說意味深長，雖然歌曲是很個人的，但同時也可以是別人的故事－這是我們做過最好的唱片！」。CD2為不插電版本。
