一同來歡慶百老匯最偉大的傳說－音樂劇大師史蒂芬．桑德海姆八十歲生日音樂會吧！為了慶祝這位當代作詞作曲的音樂劇大師，許多曾經共同合作的閃亮巨星紛紛 聚首，共同演唱25首大師音樂生涯最動人的歌曲。這些雋永的歌曲較難有機會被聽到，而且其中有許多是來自原本百老匯的原聲重現。大衛海德皮爾斯擔任演唱會 主持人，而史蒂芬的長期合作伙伴保羅吉梅諾則負責擔任紐約愛樂的指揮。本片於2010年3月在紐約艾力費雪音樂廳拍攝完成。
