Tchaikovsky's Orchestral Suites are the least known of his orchestral works. Their rediscovery provides an insight into the composer's stylistic resources, as he delves into the possibilities offered by a free form. From fugues to ancient dances, not to mention the use of Russian folk themes, Tchaikovsky's stamp is always recognizable due to its particularity, diversity and his inexhaustible orchestral inventiveness.
