Stax Records唱片公司是美國音樂史上備受推崇且深受歡迎的靈魂樂廠牌，在靈魂樂專輯的銷售與影響力排名第二位，僅次於另一靈魂樂廠牌Motown Records。
Stax Records帶動了美國南方靈魂樂(*揉合靈魂樂，藍調，傳統搖滾樂以及來自美國南方非裔美國人教堂的福音音樂等元素的音樂，對放克音樂的影響至深)與曼菲斯靈魂樂(*以放克與流行靈魂樂為主軸的音樂)的風格，同時也發行了許多放克，藍調，爵士與福音等類型音樂風格的專輯。
1957年以Satellite Records之名成立，隨後於1961年改名的Stax Records唱片公司，公司坐落於田納西州的曼菲斯，公司的名稱來自於創辦人Jim Stewart與他的妹妹Estelle Axton的姓氏首兩個字母。在Stax Records唱片公司營運的15年間，這家勇於呈現原汁原味的靈魂樂的唱片公司發行了超過800首的單曲，近300張的LP專輯，創造了167首打進全美熱門單曲榜的暢銷曲，243首挺進全美節奏藍調單曲榜的暢銷曲，歷年發行的作品榮獲8座葛萊美獎與一座奧斯卡金像獎的肯定。Stax Records旗下的藝人包括：Otis Redding，Sam & Dave，Wilson Pickett，Albert King…等人都是入列「搖滾名人殿堂」的樂壇傳奇。
